A survey of top business leaders
Little Red Robot was tapped by GE to serve as the lead creative agency tasked with developing the GE’s Global Innovation Barometer Report. The Global Innovation Barometer is a survey of top business leaders worldwide that explores the state of innovation today from the drivers of innovation and its barriers to examining what innovators are doing to succeed.
The greatest challenge arrived as we were heading to finish up the campaign, COVID-19 emerged and GE decided to hold off on releasing the campaign and gather more data specifically attributed to how COVID-19 has affected innovation. COVID-19 has very few silver linings, however, for the Global Innovation Barometer, gathering this additional data meant that the 2020 report carried extra significance. The ability to compare data gathered before the pandemic and 6 months after the global shut-down gives an astounding relevance to this report.
The 3d animations and illustrations were paired with photographs and live-action video to create a feast for the eyes. In addition to this elegant design system we coded a freakishly cool responsive website with many bells and whistles.
Our favorite features is is taking our beautiful 3D designs into WebGL and creating real-time visitor driven interactions where they could touch and interact with the design language and interactive data features, which was stunning on desktop, mobile and tablets.
The site itself gathered millions of impressions from the moment it launched, making this the most successful Innovation Barometer Report GE has put together since beginning to put together the biennial report in 2012 and this effort marked Little Red Robot’s second time partnering with GE on the Innovation Barometer Report project.
